Tea for Education

Tea for Education: K-12 public education in America is in a condition of decline and failure. This can no longer be ignored. Though we spend more than other countries per student, our students now rank behind those of other developed nations. The drop-out rate in urban schools approximates 50 percent. The failure in our urban public schools contributes to many other social issues. By 2020, in this high tech world, America's need for skilled, educated workers will approximate 120 million. Our present education system will be able to supply only 50 million
